Meet Dr. Malhotra

Dr. Aekta Malhotra is a long time native of Dallas, TX. She attended The University of Texas at Dallas in Richardson, TX, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology and a Master of Science Degree in Applied Cognition and Neuroscience.

Dr. Malhotra attended Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine in Bryan, TX, where she obtained her Doctor of Medicine Degree. She then completed her residency training in general adult psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, MA. She is an American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology certified psychiatrist.

Her commitment to excellence in patient care has been recognized throughout her career. Dr. Malhotra has been recognized by D Magazine as a Best Doctor in Dallas in 2023 and 2024. The selection process is designed to identify physicians who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.

Since returning back home to Dallas, TX, she has continued her advocacy and outreach efforts through collaboration with various local, state, and national organizations. In addition to patient care, she is involved in medical education, mental health advocacy, community engagement and quality improvement initiatives in health care.
