INITIAL CONSULTATION

60-90 MINUTES

$400/hour

The initial psychiatric consultation is a comprehensive 60-90 minute interview designed to understand you as a whole person in a safe, judgment-free environment. This session helps determine if I am the right provider for you and if Apollo Psychiatry can best meet your needs. Together, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan, which may include medications, therapy, lab work, or other services. If you are under the care of a therapist or physician, I will collaborate with them to ensure a team-based approach. Should your needs require a different provider or model of care, I will offer appropriate referrals. Please note that this initial consultation is not a guarantee of continued treatment or prescribing.

FOLLOW-UP (medication management visit)

25 MINUTES

$250

Follow-up appointments for continued care and medication management are typically 25 minutes, focusing on your progress, any side effects, and changes in your circumstances. Treatment plans and medications are adjusted as needed. For more in-depth discussions, 50-minute sessions are available. While the frequency of appointments varies based on individual needs, patients are seen at least every 3 months to ensure safe and effective care.

FOLLOW-UP (extended medication management visit)

50 MINUTES

$350

This 50-minute follow-up option is ideal for patients needing additional support or complex medication management. It allows for in-depth discussions, thoughtful treatment adjustments, and integration of psychotherapy and psychoeducation.

PSYCHOTHERAPY

50 MINUTES

$350

The journey to self-realization and mental well-being often requires both medication and psychotherapy, as medications alone may not fully address underlying challenges. Medications can help you feel better and more engaged in therapy, which is crucial for lasting improvement. While medications may take you part of the way, the deeper work of psychotherapy is essential for the remaining steps. Effective therapy requires a commitment to weekly sessions, with frequency adjusted over time based on your progress and needs.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES AND FEES

I strive to be responsive and available for my patients and their needs, and I am reachable over phone and through the secure patient portal. While I aim to complete any required paperwork, refills, and address all your questions during our appointment, occasionally these services are more involved and require time outside your session. In that event, additional fees may be assessed for paperwork, phone calls, etc. Kindly look at your Patient Policies and Practices document for details regarding these services.

INSURANCE REIMBURSEMENT

Payment is due at time of service. Accepted payment methods include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.

The doctor-patient relationship takes time, and it is the most important aspect of my practice at Apollo Psychiatry. That is why I operate on a fee-for-service basis. Although I am not on any commercial insurance panels and will be considered an “out-of-network” provider, many patients are able to submit receipts for reimbursement by utilizing any out-of-network insurance benefits. After each appointment, you will be provided a comprehensive receipt, called a “super bill,” to submit directly to your insurance company.

Here is a useful guide that might help you understand out-of-network benefits and how they are reimbursed. Please contact your insurance provider for coverage terms.

GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE

STANDARD NOTICE - “Right to Receive a Good Faith Estimate of Expected Charges” under the No Surprises Act.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call Apollo Psychiatry at (214) 506-3334
